Armstrong Bell Welcomes Alex Shepherd to the Team

24 June 2020

Armstrong Bell is delighted to welcome Alex Shepherd, our new Billing and Provisioning Administrator, to the team.

With a strong background in billing and data analysis, Alex boasts proven experience in a similar administrative role and after a stint of self-employment is now looking forward to a new challenge.

We sat down with Alex to find out more about his experience and what he is looking forward to most in joining Armstrong Bell:

Tell us about your background:

Prior to joining Armstrong Bell, I was actually self-employed and ran my own small business in custom picture framing. Although I still enjoy this and complete projects during evenings and weekends, I wanted to find a job that would enable me to advance my skills in data analysis and billing after working in a similar role with Volvo Group.

I was, therefore, delighted to find this opportunity with Armstrong Bell and am already learning a wealth of new things.

Why did you decide to join Armstrong Bell?

I really like the values that Armstrong Bell have as a business. The team is incredibly friendly, and they are all focused on delivering the best possible service to all customers, regardless of the issue in hand.

In addition, the firm has clear plans for growth and in becoming one of the UK’s leading business communications providers. I love the idea of being part of that growth and in helping the business drive new and positive change.

What are you looking forward to most in your new role?

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, I have only been able to meet the majority of team members via Zoom, so am really looking forward to meeting everyone in person and integrating as part of the team as soon as we are all able to return to the office.

To date, I have really enjoyed the training and am looking forward to continuing to advance my current knowledge and skillset over the coming weeks and months.

What are your long-term goals?

At the moment I am very grateful to have secured this role during a global pandemic, but like Armstrong Bell, have long-term plans to continue to grow and advance professionally. I hope this progression is part of my journey with the business and that I can aid the firm as they continue to increase market share.
