Interview with Ollie Wilson

Our Billing Manager, Ollie Wilson, is sadly leaving us to move on to pastures new so we caught up with him this week to find out what he thought about his 2-and-a-half years with us. In that time Ollie has produced 28 bill runs and billed for an astonishing 22 million minutes - that’s equivalent to 42 years of call time!

What’s the last two and a half years been like for you?

AB is a lovely place to work and the team environment has really helped me meet the challenges that I’ve faced. I’ve had a really great insight into how business works and the vital role that understanding the data we have plays in shaping the decisions we make and our future growth. 

What’s been the highlight of your time with us?

The thing I’m most proud of was taking the lead in a six-month project to gain a much deeper understanding of our call tariffs. We completely restructured our tariff model and costings, which in turn enabled us to be far more transparent, competitive and confident when discussing any type of call charge with customers.

What have you learned about yourself?

I’ve learned to take ownership of the tasks I’ve been given, to be self sufficient and proactive in meeting the challenges ahead. 

Where would you like to be in 5 years time?

I guess its hard to be specific but I’d really like to have a big input into a business and helping move it forward.
