Guaranteed pass with Cyber Essentials

There are many, many quality marks in use across different industries, and the most useful ones are those that even those who are not in an industry would recognise the mark – a good example of that is ISO, which is recognised by many as meaning good things about a company.

A government backed quality mark for your IT has been in use for a few years now and is becoming recognised more widely – it’s called Cyber Essentials.

We like Cyber Essentials because the process asks 50 questions which are – in my view – a basic sanity check of your IT arrangements, both the technology and your IT support team. It therefore reassures our clients when they pass, as it confirms Control and Shift are maintaining their IT in the right way.

This week a client of ours who is looking to work on an NHS tender was asked to provide their Cyber Essentials certificate, so it’s also good to see it’s becoming a recognised mark.
